We all know how it goes, you eat ‘healthy’ snacks for a few days, only to finally cave in and eat the chips or whatever is your favorite. I confess…I am guilty of this myself. So no judgement here! After all…we’re all human…want to have fun and eat the foods we want to eat. Right?
Now I know for most people, it’s not realistic to eat ‘healthy’ 100% of the time. Nor is it really sustainable for most people. The solution is taking snack foods and ‘making’ them a little more nutritious. But still having the ‘fun’ snacks that we all like to eat when we are hungry, tired, stressed or just need to decompress.
In our family, this is our go to recipe, and when the pan comes out and family hears the popcorn popping…they come running. There have literally been ‘fights’ about who got the most popcorn and how it needed to be divvied up equally. ( I am not kidding about this!)
With this super simple recipe popcorn recipe you can feel like you are ‘cheating’, when you are not in any way. And the taste is *chefs kiss* addicting.

When I go into the chip & snack aisle at the grocery store I see so many popcorn snacky-snacks available, sure they’re super convenient…and some seem a little better than others. But they are expensive when you think about it and they don’t really have any ingredients that contribute to ‘feeding your body’. You are literally putting in zero nutrition into your body.

A Snack Full of Flavor…Plus an Energy Boost
It’s full of flavor and brimming with B vitamins so they actually give you an energy boost, unlike some of the other popcorn snacks out there. It’s really easy to make and if you are watching your budget it will definitely be more economical, then this is a recipe you really need to try.

Ingredients:
- Organic popcorn kernels
- Organic coconut oil
- French sea salt
- Nutritional yeast
Instructions:
1. Heat a pan on the stove over medium heat.
2. Add a couple of kernels of popcorn. When they pop, you’ll know it’s time to add the rest of the popcorn.
3. Add a generous scoop of organic coconut oil to coat the pan.
4. Toss in a handful of organic popcorn kernels and cover with a lid.
5. Shake the pan gently until you hear the kernels start to pop.
6. Once the popping slows down, remove it from the heat and let it sit for a moment to catch any stragglers.
🤫Now for my secret ingredient: Nutritional Yeast! 🤫
Sprinkle 2 tablespoons over the freshly popped popcorn and add French sea salt to taste. Stir well to coat all the popcorn with the Nutritional Yeast🧂
